The Community Public Health program, College of Allied Health Sciences, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, Samut Songkhram Campus,
had third-year students in the Community Public Health program participate in a practical activity to test for contaminants in food. This integrated knowledge from the Nutrition and Food Sanitation courses to enhance skills in food safety testing, reading and interpreting test results, and applying this knowledge to promote public health. The activities included testing for polar compounds in reused frying oil, formalin, borax, antifungal agents, bleaching agents, and iodine in salt.
Using food samples from different sources, students practiced analytical testing, compared results, and learned systematic food safety assessment methods, all under the supervision and guidance of faculty members.
This activity aimed to develop students' potential in community public health, enabling them to appropriately apply their knowledge to food safety monitoring and consumer health protection. The activity took place on October 14, 2026,
in the classroom of the College of Allied Health Sciences, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, Samut Songkhram Campus.
