
SSRU Council visits Samut Songkhram Education Center, AHS Indoor Cultivation, and Center of Excellence in Elderly care
On 25 November 2020, 10.30 AM. Associate Professor Dr. Chutikarn Sriviboon, Acting President of Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, and Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University Council Executive Committees officially visited Samut Songkhram Education Center, Center of Excellence in Elderly Care and College of Allied Health Sciences Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University in Samut Songkhram.
Associate Professor Dr. Chutikarn Sriviboon expressed her appreciation to College of Allied Health Sciences Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University for pioneering and developing here till what we have today. At present, we have four buildings in a great atmosphere. We also have 500 seats main auditorium, Center of Excellence in Elderly care, Health Rehabilitation Building where will be soon College of Nursing and Health, as well as Local Research Center provided by SKM Center.
Assistant Professor Dr. Pimporn Thongmueng, Samut Songkhram Education Center Director also described the SKM Report on the progress of Center for Research and Natural Breeding of Crab and Giant Perch, Edible home-grown vegetables Project, and other researches for local communities joined with Samut Songkhram Provincial Organization.
Associate Professor Dr. Thavatchai Kamoltham, Former Dean of College of Allied Health Sciences reported the AHS Development Progress and successfully mosquitoes eliminating system in Samut Songkhram Education Center to the meeting. Now, College of Allied Health Sciences Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University provided many interesting undergraduate degree programs in Health Sciences that can contribute to societies and the Country such as Program in Applied Thai Traditional Medicine, Traditional Chinese Medicine, Public Health, Public Health and Health Promotion, Medical and Public Health Secretary, Health Service Business Management, Healthcare in Children and Elderly, and Cannabis Health Sciences.
Associate Professor Dr. Somdech Rungsrisawat, Acting Dean of College of Allied Health Sciences Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University accounted to SSRU Council members according to the progress of Cannabis Health Sciences Program, and Research for medical cannabis. We have opened the program for two years, two batches; about 200 students, and now opening for the third batch. For research and development, we have collaborated with public and private organizations, more than 20 companies such as the Department of Thai Traditional and Alternative Medicine in the Ministry of Public Health of Thailand, Government Pharmaceutical Organization (GPO), and other business entrepreneurs. We, College of Allied Health Sciences Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, are happy and welcome for new collaboration in Cannabis research and development for medical and economic purposes. After the meeting, SSRU Council members visited AHS scientific laboratory for Cannabis Health Sciences Testing, and Medical Cannabis Indoor Cultivation Facility and Laboratory at the College. Furthermore, Assistant Professor Dr. Sujitra Urattanamanee, Center of Excellence in Elderly care Director took a group of SSRU Council members to Center of Excellence in Elderly Care and introduced the services at the center.
