Assistant Professor Niwat Songsin, a lecturer in the Community Public Health program at the College of Allied Health Sciences, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University (Samut Songkhram Campus), conducted a practical laboratory session for second-year Community Public Health students as part of their Biochemistry course. The session covered two key topics:
1. ABO Blood Group Testing: Students learned the principles of blood typing, the mechanism of red blood cell agglutination, and how to accurately observe and interpret laboratory test results.
2. Blood Glucose Testing: Students learned the principles of measuring blood glucose levels, the use of testing equipment, and the interpretation of preliminary results—essential foundations for assessing health status and screening for diabetes risk.
This practical session was designed to help students integrate theoretical knowledge into real-world application. It fostered skills in using laboratory equipment, analytical thinking, and interpreting basic biochemical test results, while also emphasizing laboratory safety. These experiences prepare students to apply their knowledge effectively in future public health practice and community healthcare.
