congratulates Assistant Professor Dr. Jatuporn Ounprasertsuk, a faculty member in the Medical and Public Health Secretary,

on the publication of her article, "Assessing Performance Efficiency and Operational Challenges of Emergency Medical Services in Samut Songkhram, Thailand: A Mixed Methods Study," in the Shiraz E Medical Journal, ISSN 1735-1391, Volume 27, No. 1, pp. 1-7. This journal is listed in the Scopus and Scimago Journal Ranking (SJR) Quartile 4.

 This research found that:

1. The Emergency Medical Services (EMS) system in Samut Songkhram province has a high level of operational efficiency, particularly in terms of equipment readiness and speed of emergency response.

2. Personnel and management issues are significant factors related to EMS performance.

3. While field operational issues have a secondary impact, qualitative data reflects obstacles in communication, interagency coordination, and inconsistent training, leading to reduced performance.

Therefore, developing personnel capabilities, strengthening coordination systems, and allocating resources appropriately are crucial. This will help enhance the sustainability and readiness of EMS systems in provincial and developing country contexts.
