On 11 November 2022, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Somdech Rungsrisawat, Dean of the College of Allied Health Sciences (AHS) at Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University Samut Songkhram Campus, together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thavatchai Kamoltham and AHS executive members welcomed Dr. Sebastian Weiland and Mrs. Melanie Weiland, his wife, from Germany, introduced by Assoc. Prof. Puangtip Chaipibansalit, AHS instructor. The visit was to grant Weiland's Scholarships to Ms. Thitaree Mahaprap and Ms. Wipawadee Phukamchat, junior students of the Health Service Business Management Program, whereas Mr. Jirawat Sudsawart, the Head of the Program, witnessed the event.

The Dean said that "this scholarship is a non-binding grant allocated for tuition fees throughout the program until graduation. The Weiland aims for the students to be good and conscientious people, and when they graduate, hopefully, they will work to serve society with honesty and virtue." 

"Thailand is a country that Dr. Sebastian and Mrs. Melanie Weiland adore. They enjoy the friendliness of Thai people, Thai cuisine, particularly Tom Yum Goong (spicy shrimp soup), and Thailand's locations. Additionally, they are more impressed and appreciated by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Puangtip Chaipibansalit, so that, in turn, they grant this scholarship to our students who are in need but are determined to study well and came to visit the College of Allied Health Sciences on this occasion."
