On 12 June 2019, Professor Dr. Anuvat Rungpisuthipong, Director of Research Center at College of Allied Health Sciences, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University (SSRU), Samut Songkhram Education Center (SSEC) together with Dr. Saengsom Sinawat, Head of Department of Public Health welcomed ETH Zurich delegates, Professor Dr. Michael Bruce Zimmermann, Head of Human Nutrition Laboratory, Dr. Nicole Stoffel and Ms. Pornpimol Scheuchzer who officially visited Thailand to discuss on the progress of SSRU-ETH Academic Collaboration, to propose two research projects on the titles of (1) Optimizing oral iron supplementation regimens during pregnancy: Iron stable isotopes: defining a dosing regimen with maximal absorption and minimal gastrointestinal side effects, and (2) Evaluation of iron bioavailability and tolerability of an iron-fortified infant cereal containing a synbiotic, as well as to survey at the research areas. Welcoming ceremony and the meeting was conducted at Professor Dr. Adulya Virijavejjakul’s Hall, Fl. 5, College of Allied Health Sciences, SSRU, SSEC.
